Fire Safety Training

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 has made fire safety training a legal requirement for staff members.

These courses have been designed for all care support workers working in either a residential ordomiciliary setting. This course will provide individuals with greater fire safety awareness and is designed to increase their knowledge, skills and confidence if faced with a fire emergency and the action they should take.

 

Fire Safety – Domiciliary Care

 

Who Should Attend?

This course has been specifically designed for all staff working with individuals in a domiciliary setting.

 

Aims and Objectives

The aim of this course is to equip delegates with the confidence to deal with fire safety within individuals own home.

The Learner will be able to:

  • Understand The Fire Triangle
  • Know different heat sources
  • Know how to prevent fire emergencies
  • Identify the impact on smoking within the home
  • Identify everyday domestic appliances and know when not to use them
  • Understand the different Fire Extinguishers
  • Recognise what actions to take if a fire emergency occurs

Course Duration

3 Hours

 

Assessment & Certification

Practical assessments and underpinning knowledge will be assessed and facilitated by the trainer.

All participants will receive a certificate of completion that is valid for 1 year to comply with recommendations by CQC.

We are accredited by NCFE and you can choose whether you wish to register for an accredited certificate.

The aim of this course is to equip delegates with the confidence to deal with fire safety within their work place environment.

The learner will be able to:

  • Understand the Fire Triangle
  • Know different heat sources
  • Know how to prevent fire emergencies
  • Understand the different fire extinguishers
  • Recognise the actions to take in the event of a fire emergency
  • Understand the importance of Fire Drills
  • Know where to locate fire points and how to raise the alarm
